Audit topics before making a timetable
List the topics your module actually assesses, using your module handbook and revision guidance. Mark each topic as confident, partly understood or not yet understood. Next to it, record the evidence: can you explain it, solve a fresh problem or write a short argument without notes?
Prioritise important topics that are partly understood before spending all your time on either comfortable material or the most difficult chapter. If the assessment format is unclear, ask the module team rather than guessing.
Use the first week to repair specific gaps
Choose a manageable daily sequence: recall a topic without notes, check what is missing, work through a practice task and record the mistake. Put breaks and other commitments into the plan first so the timetable reflects the hours you actually have.
When requesting tutoring, bring the error log and choose one or two recurring difficulties. A targeted session is easier to evaluate than asking someone to reteach the entire module.
Use the second week to rehearse the assessment format
Practise under conditions similar to the assessment where permitted. For essays, plan an argument before writing; for problem papers, practise choosing a method as well as calculating. Compare your attempt with official marking guidance or authorised feedback.
Keep a short error log: what went wrong, why it happened and what you will do differently. Revisit these entries later with a new question instead of repeatedly reading a model answer.
Protect time for the final checks
Confirm the date, time, location or permitted online setup from your university. Check the rules for notes, calculators and other resources. Prepare what you need in advance and leave realistic time for rest.
A two-week plan cannot guarantee a grade or cover every gap. Its purpose is to help you make deliberate choices, practise independently and identify the support you still need.
